I discussed the same with a Dr and he said that it may be because of too much of cooking with oil. The oil when frying will get carbonized and it is equallant to inhaling the smoke . Also, the ventilation system is not enough to all smoke outside . Inhaling these are causing too much increase of these conditions. After hearing that, I have cut down consumption of oil frying. If do that will ventilate the kitchen windows . ..

I am just guessing, maybe it has to do with cooking. Cooking Asian cuisine often produces a lot of fumes, and usually, the woman is the cook in an Asian family.

I had the fortune of riding jump seat from MCO (Orlando) to RNO (Reno) on an Eastern Airlines DC8-61 back in the day. At the time, I was an Eastern weight and balance agent working in Orlando, The flight was an Eastern charter and I was flying to Reno to replace an Eastern weight and balance agent who had become ill and could not fly to Reno. The flight was full so I got to ride jump seat across the country; It was the first of two times I was able to ride jump seat. It's a beautiful view out the front windows. I worked weight and balance in Reno for numerous Eastern flights flying conventioners back to their home cities. This NASA DC-8 is a modernized model with high bypass ratio engines.

My mom passed away at 56, 9 months after we discovered she had stage 4 lungs cancer. She didn't smoke either and tried to live a very healthy life, despite having a fragile health. It's been now 11 years and even if we wish we knew how it all happened, it would be torturous to try to find a reason why. Sometimes life is unfair, but we sure saw a bunch of miracles during these 9 months. I know my mom is somewhere out there now, watching her children and grand children grow and live happily 🌻 A big prayer to all those who are walking the sad path of disease, and their families.
